Yeh Hai Chahatein
On August 5, 2024, the episode of “Yeh Hai Chahatein” was full of surprises. It began with Kaashvi telling her Dadi that she knew about Arjun and Meera’s marriage. Dadi was shocked to hear this and asked Kaashvi if she was present at the wedding. Kaashvi explained that she arrived just as Meera was removing Arjun’s veil. She said that Arjun married Meera without considering her feelings, and she was heartbroken. Dadi asked her for any good news, but Kaashvi, recalling the doctor’s news about her pregnancy, said it didn’t matter now. She felt that Arjun had ruined everything.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Meera questioned Vikram about why he asked Arjun to marry her and inquired about Mohan’s whereabouts. Just then, the hospital staff brought in Mohan’s dead body. Meera noticed the mehendi on Mohan’s hand, remembering how she had applied it herself. She was shocked and devastated to see Mohan dead. Vikram explained that Mohan had died from an electric shock. He also mentioned that Arjun married her knowing she was pregnant.
Confused and hurt, Meera asked Arjun why he married her when he loved Kaashvi. Arjun remembered telling Vikram not to disclose that he married her for Karun. He told Meera he did it for the sake of her baby, adding that he couldn’t stay with Kaashvi because of Karun. Meera was angry and said that just because Mohan was gone didn’t mean she should marry someone else. Vikram insisted that being a single parent would be difficult and that Arjun would be a good husband. Meera, however, refused to accept the marriage and walked away.
Back with Dadi, she told Kaashvi to understand why Arjun married Meera and urged her to ask him directly.
Arjun then tried to explain to Meera that he understood both her and Vikram’s perspectives. He defended Vikram’s decision, saying their marriage was in name only, and they would remain friends. Meera asked what he would tell Kaashvi, and he admitted he couldn’t face her. He feared Kaashvi would hate him after learning about the marriage, and he wanted her to move on with her life. He asked Meera to keep the truth from Kaashvi, to which she reluctantly agreed.
Later, during Meera’s traditional grah pravesh ceremony, Kaashvi arrived and confronted Arjun, demanding an explanation. Arjun coldly replied that since she was about to leave, it shouldn’t matter to her. Kaashvi insisted on meeting Mohan, to which Arjun responded that Mohan was dead and that Meera was more than just a friend to him. Despite Kaashvi’s accusations of lying, Arjun insisted that he and Meera had feelings for each other.
The episode ended with a cliffhanger as Karun asked Arjun if he married Meera for him, leaving viewers eager for the next episode.
