Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Tandav
On August 19th, 2024, the episode of Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Tandav opens with Mumba arriving at her basti, a small community or settlement. Sardaran, a woman from the community, immediately approaches her. Sardaran tells Mumba that she knows she has feelings for Babul, a man from their basti. Sardaran goes on to say that she has spoken to Sardar, another significant figure in the community, and they both like Babul. However, Mumba denies having any feelings for him and quickly goes inside. This prompts Sardar to ask Sardaran if they should begin preparations for a marriage. Sardaran informs him that Mumba has denied liking Babul. Despite her words, Mumba is seen recalling Babul’s words and their moments together, leading her to cry. She tries to sleep but is unable to, clearly troubled by her emotions.

The next day, the peace of the basti is shattered when soldiers arrive and begin beating the people. Sardaran, trying to protect her community, pleads with the Commander to stop the violence. The Commander, however, is relentless and demands to know where his soldiers are. One of the basti men claims ignorance, but the Commander is not convinced. He insists that his soldiers were there and accuses the basti people of hiding the truth. In a show of cruelty, he whips Sardar, warning that if they don’t reveal the truth, he will burn them all.
At this tense moment, Mumba confronts the Commander, daring him to try and carry out his threats. The Commander, not backing down, taunts her, asking who will save them. He declares that Jalandhar is their Lord and that he, as Jalandhar’s Commander, has the authority. Mumba, undeterred, asserts that their Lord is Sagar raj, and they will seek his help. The Commander, however, mocks her, saying that Sagar raj would never oppose Jalandhar. He gives the basti people until the evening to reveal the truth, or they will face death. After the Commander leaves, Mumba reassures the frightened basti people that Sagar raj will hear their pleas. But Sardaran, doubtful, expresses her fear that Sagar raj won’t come to their aid.
As fear grips the basti, the people begin to blame Mumba for their predicament. They grow increasingly worried, and Sardar suggests that they leave the basti and hide somewhere else. Sardaran agrees with this plan, and the community starts to think it’s the best way to survive. But Mumba, determined, tells them that the basti is their home and they should not flee. She vows to protect them and asks for some time to find a solution. Despite her resolve, Sardaran questions where Mumba is going.
Mumba boldly declares that she is going to challenge Sagar raj to a battle. She boards a boat and ventures into the ocean to confront the powerful being. Once she reaches Sagar raj, she fearlessly calls him out, asking him to come and fight her. Sagar raj, appearing before her, is furious at her audacity. He scolds Mumba for daring to challenge him, especially since he had warned her before. Mumba, undeterred, tells him about the atrocities committed by Jalandhar, implying that Sagar raj should take action. However, Sagar raj refuses to go against his son, Jalandhar, and orders Mumba to leave. When she refuses, Sagar raj prepares for battle, taking up his weapon and warning that no one can save her from it.
The episode ends on this tense note, leaving the fate of Mumba and the basti hanging in the balance as Sagar raj prepares to unleash his wrath.
