Mangal Lakshmi
On August 23, 2024, an unexpected turn of events unfolded in the lives of the characters in Mangal Lakshmi. The episode begins with Mangal speaking to Sowmya, revealing her surprise at being unaware that she was to dance with Ishana. Mangal questions Sowmya on why she didn’t inform her. Sowmya explains that Mangal was in a wheelchair at the time, and she only wanted to help Ishana. Mangal, however, assures Sowmya that if she had known, she wouldn’t have minded.
Mangal Lakshmi- Sudesh managed to win the trophy
Sudesh then enters the conversation, recounting how Mangal, despite her injured leg, danced with Ishana and managed to win the trophy. He also shares that Akshat told him there were blood marks all over the floor, hinting at the severity of Mangal’s injury. Mangal, however, remains unbothered and leaves to fetch something, while Akshat takes Ishana and Sudesh away to admire the room’s decorations.
Meanwhile, Sowmya attempts to explain to Adit why she didn’t attend the dance competition. Adit, however, is not in the mood to listen and dismisses her explanations. Later, Sowmya reveals her hand injury, which she sustained at the temple due to Lakshmi, as the reason she couldn’t attend. Adit, unconvinced, points out that while her hand was injured, her leg was not, and compares her to Mangal, who danced despite her injury.
Mangal Lakshmi- Kusum and Mannan return home
As Kusum and Mannan return home, they are greeted with the sight of Sowmya holding Adit’s hand. The situation becomes more tense when Adit’s family tells them what had transpired earlier. Kusum and Mannan are surprised but pleased to see Mangal standing on her feet again. The mood lightens as Kusum announces that Sowmya’s parents will be visiting the next day, on Janmashtami, to set the wedding date.
Mangal Lakshmi- Sowmya’s parents arrived at Adit’s house
The next day, the family is shown celebrating Janmashtami. Sowmya’s parents arrive at Adit’s house, and soon after, the pandit also arrives. He checks Mannan and Sowmya’s kundali and makes a shocking announcement – their kundalis do not match, and hence, they cannot marry. The news shocks everyone, but Mangal quickly suggests getting a second opinion from another pandit. However, before anyone could act on her suggestion, the pandit mentions that there is an auspicious date available in just two days. After some discussion, both Adit’s family and Sowmya’s parents agree to this date.
In a sudden turn of events, Kusum asks Mangal to accompany Sowmya for jewelry shopping. Adit offers to take her instead, and Mangal agrees. They head to the jewelry store, where Adit notices a woman trying on jewelry and removing her diamond earring. Adit, in a devious move, secretly places the earring into Mangal’s grocery bag.
Unaware of what has happened, Adit steps aside to call Sowmya. During the call, he reveals his sinister plan – they will frame Mangal, which will lead to her arrest and consequently cancel the wedding. As Adit divulges his plot, the woman notices her earring is missing. She begins searching for it, and eventually, someone points out that it’s in Mangal’s grocery bag. The episode ends on this cliffhanger, with Mangal being accused of theft, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats, eager to see how this twist will unravel.
