Lakshmi Narayan
On August 14, 2024, in the latest episode of the show Lakshmi Narayan, intense drama unfolded as Hiranyakashyap, the tyrant king, declared in his assembly that he would sacrifice his own son, Prahlad, to gain the trust of his followers. Hiranyakashyap, in a display of power, claimed himself to be their god, and his followers, including Sukhracharya, praised him for his extreme decision. However, Prahlad, undeterred by his father’s threats, continued to chant the mantra of Narayan, his true deity. Kayadu, Prahlad’s mother, deeply worried for her son’s life, recalled how Prahlad had reassured her that Narayan would protect him and save everyone. In her desperation, she rushed away, praying for Narayan to intervene.
Lakshmi Narayan- Holika tried to convince Prahlad
Holika, Hiranyakashyap’s sister, tried to convince Prahlad to give up his devotion to Narayan and accept Hiranyakashyap as his god. Despite her attempts, Prahlad remained steadfast in his faith. Meanwhile, Kayadu pleaded with Narayan to save her son, admitting that although she had never trusted or worshipped Narayan before, her son was his devotee, and she was now looking to him as her last hope.
Lakshmi Narayan- Narayan explained to Lakshmi about Brahma Boon
Lakshmi, witnessing Kayadu’s desperate plea, urged Narayan not to ignore a mother’s love. However, Narayan explained that he was unable to intervene directly due to the divine boon given to Holika by Brahma, which made her immune to fire. He pointed out that while Hiranyakashyap’s sins were indeed mounting and he would eventually be punished, the time for his death had not yet arrived.
Lakshmi Narayan- Lakshmi begged Narayan to save Prahlad
Lakshmi, not content with this explanation, begged Narayan to save Prahlad from the fire that Hiranyakashyap had planned to burn him in. Narayan, however, was bound by the rules set by the boon given to Holika and stated that he could not act against it. Holika’s boon made her invulnerable to fire, and even the gods Vaayu Dev and Agni Dev could not separate Prahlad from her until the fire extinguished.
Lakshmi Narayan- Lakshmi decided to save prahlad
Determined to save Prahlad, Lakshmi decided to take matters into her own hands and declared that she would go to the scene to protect him. At this moment, Brahma and Saraswati appeared, trying to explain the situation to Lakshmi, but she was resolute. Lakshmi stated that she would not allow any harm to come to Prahlad, no matter the cost, and she was willing to face any consequences, including humiliation, to save him. She reminded Narayan that she had cared for Prahlad since his birth and could not stand by and let injustice be done to him.
Narayan, understanding Lakshmi’s determination, stopped her and proposed a challenge: she could only leave to save Prahlad if she managed to defeat him in a fight. Lakshmi, unwavering in her resolve, accepted the challenge and they began to fight. The fight caused the universe to react, reflecting the intensity of the battle. Meanwhile, back at Hiranyakashyap’s assembly, the evil king confidently proclaimed that nothing could save Prahlad now.
However, as the fire was lit, something unexpected happened. Holika’s dupatta, which was supposed to protect her from the flames, flew away from her. As a result, Holika began to feel her body burning, while Prahlad remained unharmed. The dupatta that was supposed to protect Holika instead provided protection to Prahlad, and Holika perished in the fire.
As the fight between Narayan and Lakshmi continued, Naradar arrived and revealed that Narayan had anticipated this outcome. He explained that it was all part of Narayan’s plan to ensure Prahlad’s safety. Realizing her mistake, Lakshmi apologized to Narayan for misunderstanding his intentions.
Brahma then gave a stern warning to Hiranyakashyap, telling him that the misuse of his boon for sinful purposes would only lead to his downfall. Kayadu, overjoyed, saw her son alive and safe, while Hiranyakashyap, still in disbelief, declared that Prahlad would have to summon his god Narayan to fight him. Lakshmi, still concerned, pointed out that Hiranyakashyap was now trying to manipulate Prahlad into a confrontation with Narayan.
The episode ended on a cliffhanger, leaving the audience eagerly awaiting the next development in the story. The tension between faith and power, the conflict between devotion and tyranny, and the ultimate justice that awaits those who misuse their power were all central themes in this dramatic episode of Lakshmi Narayan.
