Lakshmi Narayan
On August 26th, 2024, a significant event unfolded in the mythological saga of Lakshmi Narayan. The story took a dramatic turn as Mahabali, a powerful ruler with ambitions to conquer the cosmos, was advised by his mentor, Sukhracharya, that the only way to achieve his dream was to perform the Ashwamedh Yagya. Sukhracharya emphasized that this sacred ritual was essential for Mahabali to realize his desire to rule the entire cosmos. Eager to fulfill his aspirations, Mahabali agreed to proceed with the Yagya, unaware of the challenges that lay ahead.
Lakshmi Narayan- Indra Dev expressed his belief
Meanwhile, Vaman, the incarnation of Narayan, spoke to his parents about Mahabali’s ambitions. Vaman was confident that Mahabali’s dreams and efforts would ultimately be in vain. Indra Dev, another deity, expressed his belief that Mahabali could not defeat the deities and that the idea of ruling heaven was just a fantasy. Aditi, Vaman’s mother, reminded her husband that the deities were not merely insulting Vaman but Narayan himself, although they were bound by a promise not to reveal Vaman’s true identity.
Lakshmi Narayan- Varun Dev believed Mahabali was unbeatable
Varun Dev, another deity, also believed that Mahabali was unbeatable and that no deity could defeat him. Indra Dev, however, dismissed Vaman, considering him unworthy due to his small stature and lack of physical resemblance to the deities. Despite this, Vaman assured them that he would make them proud by stopping Mahabali’s reign.
Later, Vaman encountered Kamali, a mysterious woman who claimed she was born for him and asked him to marry her. Vaman, focused on his duty, politely declined her request, urging her not to disturb him. Mahabali, on the other hand, began the Ashwamedha Yagya, determined to see it through.
Lakshmi Narayan- Vaman approached Mahabali’s palace
As the ritual commenced, Vaman approached Mahabali’s palace but was stopped by the soldiers guarding the entrance. Sukhracharya advised Mahabali to make a donation as part of the Yagya, and Vaman, posing as a simple Brahmin, requested a gift from Mahabali. The soldiers, however, refused to let Vaman inside, despite Kamali’s intervention. She insisted that Vaman was harmless and should be allowed to enter. Kamali even declared that she would not leave until Vaman received his donation, and if not, she was willing to face punishment.
Mahabali, recognizing the importance of fulfilling the Yagya’s requirements, agreed to grant Vaman’s request. Sukhracharya, sensing something amiss, warned Mahabali to be cautious, suspecting that Vaman might be Narayan in disguise. Despite Sukhracharya’s concerns, Mahabali was undeterred. He was willing to give a donation even if it meant giving it to Narayan himself.
When asked what he desired, Vaman made a seemingly modest request: three feet of land. Kamali, observing the situation, thought it was a small request, considering Vaman’s small stature. Sukhracharya, still wary, pretended to leave but warned Mahabali not to grant the request. However, Mahabali, confident in his power and generosity, decided to grant Vaman’s wish.
What followed was a shocking turn of events. As Mahabali agreed to give Vaman the land, Vaman began to grow in size, revealing his divine nature. With his first step, Vaman covered the Earth, and with his second step, he took the heavens. Mahabali was left speechless as Vaman asked him where he should place his third step.
The episode ended on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers eager to see what would happen next. Mahabali, who had set out to conquer the cosmos, found himself trapped by Vaman’s divine trickery. The story highlighted themes of pride, humility, and the power of the divine, setting the stage for further dramatic developments in the saga of Lakshmi Narayan.
