Meanwhile, Appu, suffering from a high fever, murmurs the name “Lalan,” which surprises everyone in the family. When Bablu offers her a glass of juice, she angrily throws it on the floor and asks them to leave her alone. She desperately wants to meet Lalan, but the family does not allow her to do so. Bablu questions Appu about her connection with Lalan, to which Appu reveals her desire to meet him, as she plans to marry him. Appu’s parents are embarrassed by her straightforward confession.
Chhoton, tasked with calling the doctor, encounters Lalan, who also wishes to meet Appu. Although Chhoton tries to keep Appu’s illness a secret, Lalan eventually learns about her poor health. Distressed by this news, Lalan insists on meeting Appu, but Chhoton refuses to let him into their house. When Lalan asks for an explanation, Chhoton explains that their friendship is disapproved of by their family members.
