Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Tandav
On August 18th, 2024, the episode of Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Tandav unfolds with a touching scene where Mumba brings a bowl of bel leaf juice to Babul. She asks him to drink it, reminding him of how he once mentioned that bel leaf is like a feast for him. Babul, smiling warmly at her, accepts the bowl. Mumba questions him about drinking the juice, knowing it will taste bitter. Babul reassures her, saying that both he and Lord Shiv love bel leaf juice. He adds that the juice, though bitter, turns sweet like amrit because of Mumba’s love. His words touch her deeply as she watches him drink it, clearly moved by the moment.
Meanwhile, in another part of the storyline, Vrinda is seen performing aarti for Jalandhar. Jalandhar, however, is preoccupied with thoughts of his recent encounter with Kalabhairava. As Vrinda finishes the aarti and begins to leave, Jalandhar stops her, his mind heavy with Kalabhairava’s words. Sensing something is wrong, Vrinda asks him what’s troubling him. Jalandhar shares his concerns, and Vrinda, ever supportive, tells him to keep pushing forward, promising to protect him no matter what. He asks her if she will stand by him the way Shakti stands by Shiv. Her assurance fills him with newfound confidence. Jalandhar declares that his battle with Lord Shiv is far from over. He’s determined to continue, albeit with a different strategy. Vrinda, though aware of her husband’s wrongdoings, resolves to fulfill her duty as a wife, even if it means supporting his misguided endeavors.
Back with Mumba and Babul, the conversation takes a surprising turn. Babul notices that Mumba appears troubled, as if she had tasted the bitter bel leaf juice herself. When he asks her about it, Mumba reveals her desire to meet Lord Shiv. Babul, seeing an opportunity, sets a condition for arranging her meeting with Lord Shiv. He tells her she must challenge and defeat Sagar Raj in a fight. Mumba is taken aback by this demand. She has been devoted to Sagar Raj since her childhood and cannot fathom challenging him.
Babul explains that Jalandhar, Sagar Raj’s son, is on a dark path, and by supporting Jalandhar’s wrongdoings, Sagar Raj no longer deserves the respect and worship Mumba and her people give him. Despite this, Mumba remains firm. She cannot bring herself to disrespect Sagar Raj, who has been a figure of reverence for her community. She tells Babul that she would rather face death for love than become an enemy of Sagar Raj. She refuses to meet Babul’s condition and, in a heart-wrenching decision, declares that she will not marry him if this is what he demands. With that, she asks Babul not to see her again and walks away, leaving him behind.
The episode ends on a tense note as Narad, having overheard the entire exchange, is deeply concerned. He worries about the implications of Mumba’s decision. Will Shiv and Shakti ever reunite? And what will become of Jalandhar, who seems to be slipping further into darkness?
As the episode draws to a close, Babul, now standing alone, reflects on what Lord Shiv has done to uphold righteousness. He faces Mumba one last time, urging her to reconsider and make a decision. With that, he returns the bowl of bel leaf juice to her, leaving her to contemplate her next move.
