Megha Barsenge
On 6th August 2024, the story begins with Megha’s father praying for his daughter. Meanwhile, Megha is dancing on the terrace. She spots Jassi and goes to her. Megha asks Jassi where she is heading. Jassi tells Megha that Gurpreet is arriving today. Megha invites Jassi for tea at her place. Jassi sees her family approaching and hides behind Megha, pleading for help. She says her family thinks she is mad, and Gurpreet won’t come for her.
Megha Barsenge- Megha blushes
Jassi’s brother and sister arrive and take her away. Megha is left crying. Two women gossip about Jassi, and Megha taunts them. Megha’s father comes in with fresh milk and asks her to make mango milkshake, saying Manoj’s parents won’t reject her after having it. Megha blushes and they go inside.
Megha Barsenge- Megha stands up for her father
Megha’s mother tells her father not to mention his health condition to Manoj’s parents, as Manoj is an NRI and it would set Megha’s life. Megha’s father insists on checking the family’s background. Megha stands up for her father when her friends question her.
Megha’s aunt, Goldie, arrives and taunts Megha’s sister-in-law for getting ready. Megha’s sister-in-law helps Megha get ready, noticing her tension and assuring her everything will be fine.
Megha Barsenge- Manoj clarifies
Manoj and his parents arrive. Manoj sees Megha and greets her. Megha shyly goes inside. Goldie offers rasmalai to Manoj’s parents and asks Manoj about his job. Megha’s mother mentions that a neighbor’s son studies in Georgia and says Manoj doesn’t work there. Manoj clarifies that he works at Alexander Mall 2 and gives his visiting card to Megha’s mother, asking her not to get angry. She says it’s fine.
Megha Barsenge- Manoj reassures Megha
Goldie mentions Megha is a dance choreographer. Megha joins them and greets Manoj and his parents. She takes Manoj on a tour of the house, nervously drinking her mango milkshake. Manoj admits he is also nervous. Megha confesses she is weak in English, and Manoj makes her smile. She tells him the terrace is her favorite place and asks how she will adjust after marriage. He reassures her, saying free Wi-Fi in Georgia will allow her to video call her parents anytime.
Manoj’s father comments on Megha’s father’s silence, saying they don’t want dowry but desire a grand wedding. Manoj’s mother suggests booking an expensive hall. Goldie interrupts, taking Megha’s father inside for his insulin and warning him not to mention his condition, locking him in a room.
Megha and Manoj express their liking for each other to their families. Megha opens the door and brings her father out, saying he has something to say. Megha’s father tells Manoj’s parents he has saved twenty-five lakhs for Megha but will spend only one lakh on the wedding. He wants a simple ceremony at the Gurudwara with guests eating prasad. He plans to open a fixed deposit in Megha’s name instead.
Manoj’s parents are furious and leave with Manoj. Megha is heartbroken, recalling her time with Manoj. She tells her father she had hopes from Manoj and cries, hugging him. He consoles her, assuring that nothing bad will happen as long as he and God are with her.
The episode ends with Megha in her father’s comforting embrace, leaving viewers with a mix of heartbreak and hope.
