Narayan, bound by the devotion of his followers, grants her wish. This act surprises Lakshmi, who questions Narayan on how he could bless Hiranyakashyap’s request. Narayan explains that it is his duty to fulfill the prayers of his devotees. Later, the scene shifts to the Asurs, who are seen tormenting innocent people under Hiranyakashyap’s orders.
Lakshmi Narayan- Indra Dev expresses their inability
Hiranyakashyap insists that the people recognize him as their god, claiming that Narayan will not come to save them. The people are silent, and the Asurs continue to beat them. The Devathas, watching from a distance, are helpless. Indra Dev expresses their inability to oppose Hiranyakashyap directly and emphasizes the need to find a way to save the innocent people.
Despite the fear, the people refuse to worship Hiranyakashyap. Frustrated, he decides to kill them. A woman among the crowd finally declares her acceptance of Hiranyakashyap as her god, followed by an old man, stating they have no other choice since Narayan has not come to their rescue. Reluctantly, the people chant, “Hiranyakashyap ki Jai.” Hiranyakashyap, now feeling triumphant, declares himself the new god of the world and orders Sukhracharya to create a statue for people to worship.
Lakshmi Narayan- Hiranyakashyap’s wife faces danger
As Hiranyakashyap’s wife faces danger, Indra Dev and other Devathas plan to kill her and the unborn child, labeling it a sin. She escapes, running for her life while Asurs try to protect her. During this chaos, Hiranyakashyap revels in his newfound power as people perform rituals in his honor. He boldly claims that no one can kill him and decrees that those who refuse to worship him will be arrested.
Narayan appears, and Hiranyakashyap taunts him, asserting his new godhood. Narayan, unimpressed, points out that the people’s worship stems from fear, not devotion. Hiranyakashyap claims immortality, but Narayan counters that his death is certain.
Lakshmi Narayan- Lakshmi warns Indra Dev
Meanwhile, Indra Dev attempts to attack Hiranyakashyap’s wife again, but Lakshmi, in disguise, intervenes. She warns Indra Dev that Mahadev will punish him for trying to harm a child in the womb, a sin even Narayan cannot save him from. Indra Dev retreats, and Hiranyakashyap’s wife goes into labor. Lakshmi assists her in giving birth to a baby boy, whom she names Prahlad at Lakshmi’s suggestion.
Narayan delivers a stern response to Hiranyakashyap’s arrogance. Hiranyakashyap’s wife, sensing something extraordinary, asks Lakshmi to reveal her true identity. She acknowledges that only a divine being could have saved her from Indra Dev. The episode concludes with Narayan’s assurance that Hiranyakashyap’s time is limited, hinting at the forthcoming challenges.
